The All Progressives Congress APC, has justified the appointment of Lauretta Onochie, an aide to President Buhari as a national commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commisson (INEC) saying there was nothing wrong with the appointment.
Speaking with newsmen, the party’s Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Yekini Nabena said the party will not succumb to the cheap blackmail by the Peoples Democratic party PDP as the APC is very comfortable with her appointment.
He noted that the PDP currently has its card carrying members holding sensitive positions in INEC including the National Chairman,Prof.Mahmood Yakubu as he was recruited from Tertiary Education Trust Fund ?(TETFUND)and wondered why the party is making an issue out of Onochie’s appointment.
