NLC goes ahead with “strike” as meeting between government and labour shifts to Monday 

The Nigeria Labour Congress on Thursday evening said it will resist any move to improverish workers as it vows to proceeed on nationwide strike starting from Monday,September 28,2020 .

A meeting between government officials and labour scheduled for Thursday was shifted to afternoon.of Monday September 28.

Labour had accused the government of being insensitive to the plight of the Nigerian people over the hike in price of petrol and shifting outcomes of incompetence to Nigerians

NLC President,Ayuba Wabba had said that the government action was an affront to the Nigerian people who are bearing heavy burden of the Covid-19 pandemic

According to him,while governments around the world were granting a number of palliatives to their citizens,Nigerian government is interested in giving more pain on the citizens and said Labour will resist any attempt to further impoverish the Nigerian workers
