
Workers in the Aviation Sector under the National Union of Air Transport Employees (NUATE) and the Air Transport Senior Staff Association of Nigeria,(ATSSSAN) are shutting down operations at the corporate headquarters of Arik Air in Lagos,over plans to change its name to Nigeria Eagle.
Report has it that the workers,both past and present who are being owed by the airline are afraid over plans ongoing to change the name of the airline from Arik to Nigeria Eagle although officials of the airline have dispelled the fears that change of name represents rebranding of the aircraft and would not erase the liabilities of the company
