One person is feared dead following a clash of rival cult groups, the Greenlanders and Icelanders at Amadi Ana, Port Harcourt Local Government Area of Rivers State.
According to eyewitness account, trouble started when the cult groups congregated and started shooting in what could be described as battle of supremacy and territorial conquest.
It was learnt that the shooting started as early as 6 o’clock Monday morning forcing Residents of the area to remain indoors in fright.
A member of one of the cult groups was said to have been killed and his remains allegedly taken away by the cultists.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the State Police Command, Nnamdi Omoni who confirmed the incident, said that the police mobilised to the scene as soon as they got the information but the cultists fled on their arrival.
Omoni said no life was lost adding that the Keke driver who was shot on the leg during the incident was receiving treatment..
