
A total of 65 Health Workers and Chairman of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) Nasarawa State,Dr Bulus Peter have tested positive for coronavirus.
Peter who disclosed his status to Newsmen in Saturday said that he developed symptoms of the disease as a result of exposure to covid-19 patients at isolation center in Lafia, the state capital.
He said he is responding to treatment and added that as at July 3, a total of 65 health workers in the state have tested positive for coronavirus.
Health Workers in Nasarawa had down tools for 7days warning strike over unpaid benefits which included hazard allowance and life insurance scheme,non implementation of new minimum wage as well as promotion and anniual increments.
