A military Court in Abuja on Monday, ordered the demotion by at least three years of Major- General Olusegun Adeniyi whom it found guilty of violating military social media guidelines.
Adeniyi was seen about 7 months ago in a viral video complaining about inadequate military equipment to counter insurgency.
Prior to his conviction , Adeniyi was summarily suspended from work by the Nigerian Army, which also preferred charges of violation of military social media guideline against him, an accusation the Major General strongly denied.
Arrainged alongside Adeniyi was a Nigerian Army private,Tokunbo Obanla who was also found guilty and sentenced to 28 days of hard Labour.
