The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has reaffirmed Julius Abure as the National Chairman of the Labour Party.
The appelate court had in its decision in November 2024, recognised Abure as the National Chairman of the Labour party
Delivering judgement,a three -man panel of justices held that its verdict, which recognized Abure as national chairman subsisted and has not been set aside by any court.
In two separate appeals filed by the caretaker committee chairman of the Labour party and the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, the panel of justices led by Justice Hamma Barkawhile held that it did not delve into the issue of the leadership of the Labour Party, because issues outside jurisdiction amount to a nullity.
