
Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC have arrested Senator Rochas Okorocha over alleged N2.9 billion crime.
Okorocha was arrested on Tuesday evening at about 6.30 in his Maitama residence in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Abuja hours after the EFCC laid siege to residence.
The operatives fired shots at his residence to compel the former Imo Governor to comply with the submission to arrest and face trial..
Spokesman of the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren said the arrest was effected because Okorocha jumped administrative bail and evaded trial.
