The Appeal Court sitting in Port Harcourt has fixed Thursday,28 October,2021 to hear and rule on the suit brought by embattled Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP praying the court to order the suspension of the National Convention of the Proples Democratic Party PDP scheduled to hold on, October 30 and 31 ,2021.
Secondus had prayed the court to issue an order stopping the convention slated for 30 and 31 of October untilIn the court makes a final decision on the matter.
The decision of the court followed a notice of application for a joinder brought by six other members of the PDP.
The Presiding Judge Justice Haruna Simon Tsammani granted the request and ordered the respondents to respond within 24 hours.
Secondus was suspended by the party amid frictions and irreconcilable differences amongst party leaders.
However,he insisted he was still in charge of affairs at Wadata plaza and would only leave when his tenure expires at the end of the year.
Delegates excited about the convention are already making final preparations to arrive at the Federal Capital Territory FCT Abuja to participate in the two day event.
