Rivers State Governor,Sir Siminialayi is will tomorrow ( Wednesday) swear in five nominees cleared as commissioners and members of the state executive council by the State House of Assembly.
The Governor had sent a list of nine nominees to the State Assembly for screening and confirmation but only five scaled the screening as four were disqualified.
The Secretary to the State Government,Dr Dagogo Wokoma in a statement on Tuesday said the swearing in will take place at the Executive Council Chambers, Government House,Port Harcourt by 1.00 pm.
The statement requests commissioner – designate to attend with one guest each and are expected to be seated by 12:30 pm

GOVERNMENT SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, the Governor of Rivers State, will on Wednesday, 11 March, 2026, swear in the commissioners-designate already screened and cleared by the State House of Assembly at the Executive Council Chambers, Government House, Port Harcourt, by 1:00pm.
They are:
- MR. TONYE BELLGAM
- PROFESSOR TEMPLE NWOFOR
- DR. PETERS NWAGOR
- MR LEKUE KENNETH
- SIR AMAIRIGHA EDWARD HART.
The commissioner-designate, along with one (1) guest each are expected to be seated by 12:30pm.
