The Peoples Democratic Party PDP has expelled eleven prominent members including the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and Ayodele Fayose,a former governor of Ekiti State.
The expulsion was announced on Saturday at the party’s convention at Ibadan, the Oyo State capital after Chief Olabode George,a BoT member and former Vice Chairman of the PDP moved for the expulsion which was seconded by Hon Samaila Burga, Chairman of the PDP in Bauchi.
It will be recalled that the faction loyal to the FCT Minister and Sule Lamido,a former governor of Jigawa state had in separate cases through the court attempted to stop the convention but the party went ahead with the convention.
Those suspended are Barrister Nyesom Wike, Ayodele Fayose, Sen.Samuel Anyanwu,Sen.Mao Ohabunwa, Hon Umar Bature, Adeyemi Ajibade ( S.A.N), Muhammad Abdulraman, George Turner,Hon. Austin Nwachukwu , Abraham Amah and Chief Dan Orbih
