
The Nigerian Railway Corporation NRC has confirmed a train derailment at Agbor, along the Warri-Itakpe rail line, on Saturday November 1st, 2025.
In a statement,the NRC Managing Director, Kayode Opeifa, said, preliminary investigations suggest that the derailment may have been caused by suspected track vandalism, and a full investigation is underway to determine the root cause.
According to the statement,all those on board have been safely evacuated, with no injuries or casualties reported.
The NRC has announced a temporary suspension of train services on the corridor to facilitate a comprehensive investigation.
The corporation apologizes for any inconvenience caused and assures Nigerians of improved services.
