Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court Abuja division has adjourned further trial of the leader of the proscribed lndigenous People of Biafra( IPOB )Nnamdi Kanu on alleged terrorism charge to October 16, 2025.
The Judge gave the order following the inability of the Nigerian Medical Association to conclude its assessment of Kanu’s health status and present its report before the court.
Justice Omotosho had at the last adjourned date, ordered the NMA president to constitute a board of medical experts to carry out investigations on the alleged deteriorating health of the defendant.
The report is expected to determine whether Kanu is fit and proper to stand for continuation of his trial.
Kanu will at the next adjourned date, after the submission of his medical report, Nnamdi Kanu as a defendant in the matter open his defence following the court’s dismissal of the defendant’s no case submission.
