
Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, Uyo Zonal Directorate, on Monday, August 25, 2025, arrested seven suspected internet fraudsters in an early hour sting operation at Uyeh Heaven and Ayam Estates, along Ring Road 3 in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
A statement by the commission said the suspects were arrested following actionable intelligence on their suspected involvement in internet crimes.
Items recovered from the suspects include five laptops, 10 mobile phones, and one iPad.
The statement added that suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
