The Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN says it has boosted capacity of the National grid with additional 5,910 MVA transformer to ensure its reliability
The General Manager, Project Coordination, Aminu Tahir, reveals that this is achieved through the implementation of various donor funded projects under the Project Management Unit of TCN.
The unit is currently executing projects funded by the World Bank, Agence Française de Développement AFD, and the African Development Bank AFDB, while the procurement process for the Japan International Cooperation Agency, JICA Lagos and Ogun Projects are being finalised.
Several of the donor funded projects TCN says have been completed, while others are about 80 per cent completed.
