The federal government through the Women Affairs ministry, says it is committed to promoting Policies and programs that support young Women’s Empowerment.
The Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim, gave this indication in a message to a three day Royal Ambassadors Gathering Week, Abuja 2025.
“We will continue to work with Stakeholders to create opportunities and address challenges”, Hajiya Imaan Ibrahim assured.
The Women Affairs Minister represented by Dr Mrs Ola Erinfolami, urged all Stakeholders to join the government in this effort. “Let’s work together to empower more young Women and create a brighter future for our nation”.
“Today, we gather to discuss a critical issue that has far-reaching implications for our nation’s progress:
Empowering young Women is crucial for the development and growth of any nation and it is indeed a key to National development”.
“As a Ministry, we’ve made progress in promoting gender equality, development and peace, but there is still much work to be done”, she noted.
Hajiya Imaan Ibrahim stated: “Young Women continue to face challenges in education, economic opportunities, healthcare and leadership and it is our responsibility to address these disparities and create an enabling environment for Women to thrive”.
Earlier in a welcome address, the Convener, Ambassador Jonathan David Okwudiri, expressed the Organisation desire to support and partner with the Tinubu administration on its Renewed Hope Agenda to Promoting Agricultural Development, Improving Food Security, Creating Jobs and Enhancing the Livelihoods of Farmers which align with their vision and mission.
“Over the next two days, we will come together to share ideas, experiences, and expertise and be inspired by keynote addresses, conferences, seminars and talent hunts.
According to Ambassador Okwudiri, “this gathering is more than just a convention but a call to action and a reminder that we are the change-makers, the visionary leaders, who will shape the future of Nigeria as Royal Ambassadors and Nation Builders”.
“We believe that by empowering women and youth, we can create a brighter future for ourselves, our communities, and our nation”.
He said the organisations would be providing job employment opportunities to one million women and youth across Nigeria in the Green Rewards Smart Farm Settlement ( GRSFS). We will also be empowering core farmers with financial support and grants to enhance their productivity in sustainable agricultural farming through the Agricultural Farming Project Fund and Empowerment Scheme recently flagged off.
Furthermore, the Royal Ambassadors Family Enlightenment Foundation has trained over 1000 women and youth in various skills and talents. We are now seeking financial support and partnership to empower these individuals with start-up funds and equipment to commence their own entrepreneurship businesses.
“To our partners, donors, and stakeholders, I extend my sincerest gratitude for your support. Your contributions will go a long way in empowering our women and youth to become nation-builders” Amb. Okwudiri pleaded.
