Nigeria’s Female Basketball Team,D’ Tigress on Monday beat Australia 75-62 in the ongoing 2024 Olympics Games in Paris , France.
The win at the Pierre Mauroy Stadium was the first Olympic victory since Athens 2004.
Reacting to the victory,D’Tigress Coach, Rena Wakama said ” I have a wave of emotions. I am so proud and excited for this group. I’ve got a lot of girls that are hungry and really shocked the world “
The Nigerian Team will face France on Thursday and wrap up their group stage match against Canada on Sunday.
