The Federal Capital Territory and Area Councils will be agog this Weekend as officials of the Akume Empowerment Foundation will be Inaugurated to commence activities on Poverty Alleviation and Human Development.
In a statement released to newsmen in Abuja on Thursday by the pioneer Coordinator, Mr Ikurior Simon Peter, on behalf of the national President, Mr Gbakaan Mathias Tersoo, the inauguration will take place on Saturday, 20th April, 2024, at the hall of Raw Materials Research and Development Councils, Maitama, Abuja.
“The Akume Empowerment Foundation is a Non Governmental Organisation that was set up by a group of patriotic Nigerians from the Six geopolitical Zones to honour and preserve the legacies of Senator George Akume, a former Governor of Benue State and currently, the SGF”, the statement notes.
The statement says the Foundation is dully registered with CAC to carry out activities to improve lives and enhance the delivery of dividends of good governance to every Nigerians.
“The Foundation also intends to support government to provide qualitative education and healthcare for Nigerians”.
The event will be graced by prominent Nigerians including Captains of industries, prominent politicians and Senior government officials.
