The Police in Asaba have arrested no fewer than a 100 suspected homosexuals holding gay Marriage in Delta State
The suspects were said to be performing the wedding ceremony in a hotel when they were arrested.
The Spokesman of the Command, DSP Bright Edafe, who paraded the suspects at the police headquarters in Asaba on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 said in a trending video
“Delta State Command has arrested over a hundred gay suspects in a hotel carrying out a gay wedding ceremony,”
It was gathered that the police acting on credible intelligence on Sunday,27 August about a scheduled gay marriage stormed the hotel located along the Refinery road,Ekpan in Uvwie Local Government Area of the state.

Nigeria frowns against the practice of same sex relationships and Marriage.In the course of this, the National Assembly in 2013 passed a law making gay relationships illegal. The law was assented to by the then sitting President, Good luck Jonathan.
The law imposes a 14 year jail term on offenders.
