
Nigeria’s female basketball team, D’Tigress has defeated Senegal to win the 2023 FIBA Women’s Afrobasket Championship for the fourth consecutive time.
The team defeated the 11-time African champions 84-74 to claim their sixth championship at the BK Arena in Kigali, Rwanda on Saturday.
D’Tigress Head Coach, Rena Wakama was appointed for the top job only late June for an initial period of two years.
Wakama, since her appointment has left no stone unturned to ensure that the team regained its dominance in Africa.
