President Bola Tinubu has sworn-in Senator George Akume as the new Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) at the council chamber.
The ceremony was performed at the council chamber of the presidential villa with party chieftains and other dignitaries in attendance.
They include the Vice President ,Kashim Shettima; President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan; Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr FolasadeYemi-Esan and wife of the SGF, Mrs Regina Akume .
Akume,a former governor and Senator was appointed SGF last week by the President in a statement issued by the State House Director of Information, Abiodun Oladunjoye
The statement also contained the appointment of Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila as the Chief of Staff to the president and Sen. Ibrahim Hadeija as Deputy Chief of Staff.
