
Peter Mbah of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has won the March 18 governorship election in Enugu State.
Mbah polled 160895 to defeat his opponent Chijioke Edeoga of the Labour Party who polled 157552
The Returning Officer, , Professor Maduebibisi Ofo Iwe announced this on Wednesday
INEC registered a total of 2111279 voters.
Accredited voters stood at 381971 ,
Total valid votes 358463,
Rejected votes 9088
Total vote cast 367551
Enugu collation of results was suspended following issues of over voting in some Local Government Areas.
However,INEC directed the resumption of collation on Wednesday evening.
Mbah,a Maritime lawyer and politician was annointed by the outgoing governor and one of the G-5’s, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi
