Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress APC has been declared reelected in the March 18 gubernatorial election in Lagos state.
He polled 762,134 to defeat Gbadebo Rhodes – Vivour of the Labour party who received 312,329 votes.
The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Abdul- Azeez Adediran got 62,449 .
In his post election speech, Sanwo-Olu said his Re-election was an affirmation of confidence reposed in him.
Sanwo-Olu thanked the electorates for the show of love for him and his deputy,Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamsat.
He thanked the leadership of the APC for keeping the party alive .
The governor – elect extends olive branch to his challengers and enjoined them to join hands with his government if they want to keep their aspirations alive saying the doors are wide open .
