Advises Media To Wait for Official Statement

The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has reacted to reports on postponement of the Gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections slated for March 11, 2023.

A statement issued by the Commission on Wednesday night advised correspondents of media outlets covering INEC to wait for official statement from the Commission.

Current matters reports that shortly after the Appeal Court ruled in favour of INEC over reconfiguration of the BVAS, the Electoral Body had an emergency meeting where it was reported to be ruminating over issues of reconfiguring the BVAS which takes time and the conduct of the March 11 election.
