The gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State, Professor Eleazar Uche Ikonne is dead.
Current Matters gathered that Ikonne’ died on Wednesday in an undisclosed hospital.
Ikonne’,a former Vice-chancellor of the Abia State University Uturu (ABSU) had slumped shortly after presenting his campaign speech, at the Umuahia Township Stadium on November 24,2022.
Last week, the State Government, confirmed that the candidate was sick but assured he was recuperating.
