Gunmen on Friday morning kidnapped six pupils in Doma local government area of State.
Current Matters gathered that the abducted children are pupils of the Local Government Education Authority in Alwaza community, and were on their way to school when the incident happened.
They are aged between six and eight
The incident is the first case of kidnapping involving school children in the State.
Confirming the development, the state Police Public Relations Officer,, DSP Ramhan Nansel.said a joint patrol team comprising police and military personnel as well as vigilantes have been deployed to the affected area on rescue mission.
Nansel said the Commissioner of Police, Mr Maiyaki Baba has visited the community and he interacted with the parents of the victims.
