Jigawa State Governor, Muhammad Badaru says the time has come for Northern Nigeria to support Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC for his kindness to the region.
The governor made the statement on Sunday in Kano when he received Tinubu.
Tinubu had visited Kano State on Saturday to open his campaign office.
He was received on arrival at the Kano International Airport by the governors of Kano,Jigawa and Zamfara states.
Badaru who addressed a large gathering of party supporters explained ” Tinubu is the only friend of the North,he supported five northerners including Alhaji Shehu Shagari,Umar Musa Yar’ adua,Atiku Abubakar,Nuhu Ribadu and President Muhammadu Buhari for the office of president.
” So It is payback time and we are ready,we are honest people,we respect keeping to our promise and we are ready to compensate you for what you have done for the North”
The governor therefore urged Northerners to come out and vote for the APC presidential candidate in 2023.
