A Federal High Court sitting in Damaturu, the Yobe State Capital has ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC to submit the name of Bashir Machina as the authentic candidate for Yobe North Senatorial District.
In a judgement delivered Wednesday, Justice Fadimatu Murtala affirmed the All Progressives Congress APC Senatorial primary held on 28th May,2022 and nullified the parallel primary that produced the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan on the 9th June,2022.
