A former aide to ex President GoodLuck Jonathan on Thursday took a swipe at the first degree certificate of the presidential candidate of the Labour party, Peter Obi
Omokri,who had never spared any moment to criticize political opponents on social media faulted Obi’s poor performance as revealed by his bachelor degree saying ” even my receptionist while I was in government had a better degree than Obi.
The certificate of the Labour party candidate surfaced online a day after the Independent National Electoral Commission( INEC) published the final list of Presidential and National Assembly candidates
In the published list of candidates,Obi wrote ” Degree” in a column where others proudly flaunted the level of educational qualifications
In the certificate that has gone viral, Obi’s name , institution and award of degree ( Second Class lower in Philosophy were boldly written .
But, Omokri was quick to tell Obi ‘s noisy supporters that he expected something better in Obi’s bachelor degree than what was presented..
“After all this noise on Social media,it is only a Second Class degree in Philosophy that your messiah has? Zenith Bank will not even employ such an educationally challenged character.” Reno said.
Meanwhile some of Obi’s supporters have taken to social media in defence of their candidate saying” what matters is the candidates character and sense of purpose and not paper qualification .
Some who spoke to current matters said they would not be distracted by any campaign directed towards smearing the image of Obi as their goal of winning the 2023 election was more important.
