Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed has won the Gubernatorial primary election on Saturday in Bauchi.
Mohammed who was the sole candidate garnered 646 votes out of 650 accredited delegates.
The primary was rescheduled following the defeat of the governor at the May 28 Presidential primary of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Abuja and the withdrawal of the former Secretary to the State Government,Mr Ibrahim Kassim who won the May 28 primary.
Recall that Governor Bala Mohammed was among the aspirants in the just concluded PDP presidential primaries at the Moshood Abiola MKO Stadium, Abuja . He scored 20 out of 767 votes
At the end of the excercise,the Returning Officer and Chairman Governorship Primary Election in the state,Mr Murtala Damagum declared the governor winner.
