
…. Others badly injured,fighting for life
One soldier has been reported killed and others seriously injured in ambush on Sunday morning by gunmen in Rivers State
The incident reportedly happened around the boundary between the Emohua and the Asari -Toru Local Government Area of the state.
Current matters gathered that the unknown gunmen ambushed the soldiers in the early hours of the day and opened fire at them killing one and leaving others seriously injured.
It was learnt that the condition of the wounded soldiers is critical and efforts are being made by some political leaders in the area to move them from where they are to a good hospital for treatment
So far, no statement has been issued by the Nigerian Army and the Police on the incident.
