Hausa traders resort to AK- 47 rifles, stop demolition of Enugu market 

Attempt by officials of the Enugu State Capital Territory Development Authority to demolish the New Artisan market met stiff resistance as Hausa traders who reportedly forced them out of the market using AK-47 rifles.

It was gathered that the traders seized the Governmentt bulldozer and chased away the officials including security operatives who accompanied them to the demolition exercise.

Thereafter, the traders blocked the NNPC axis of the Enugu- Port Harcourt expressway stopping vehicular movements along the route.
