Unspecified number of armed men on Wednesday morning, stormed the Governmentt Science College,Kagara in Rafi local Government Area of Niger state killing a student.
The Gunmen reportedly arrived the school premises about 2.a.m ,dressed in school uniform , and attacked the staff quaters shooting sporadically before moving to the hostels .
In the process a student was killed and several others sustained gun injury, while many people including students were abducted.
Kagara Local Government Area has recently become a target for bandits atrocities as reports of kidnapping and armed robbery frequently dominate public square.
On September 3,2020, gunmen numbering about 90 stormed Kagara on motorbikes, killing a dozen and abducting scores of people in an operation that lasted for 6 hours.
On May 8,2020, bandits invaded Kagara,kill one and abducted 9 persons including a 6 months old . They were said to have rustled over 400 cattles belonging to the villagers.
On February 25,2020, bandits stormed the town killing 3 including a woman and her daughter and collected Petrol Jerry cans as ransom.
On the 5th of December,2019, gunmen killed 13 people in Kagara and abducted two village heads , the district head of Madaki was abducted along with his wife and grandson.
