
Senate treats N19.7 billion State House budget,asks Buhari to stop medical treatment abroad
The Nigerian Senate on Thursday, ordered officials of State House to stop President Buhari from making foreign trips over medical treatment in order to make the state house clinic more functional.
The warning comes as the State House Permanent Secretary,Tijani Umar appeared before the Senate Committee on Federal Character and Intergovernmental Affairs to defend his budget estimates of N19.7 billion out of which N1 .2 billion was allocated to the state house clinic.
A member of the committee,Danjuma La’ah said the budget would be approved but warned that the President and other governmentt officials should be disallowed from making medical trips abroad
