Hoodlums defy curfew, president’s warning,raze buildings in Calabar 

Hundreds of armed youths in Cross Rivers State on Saturday morning defied the 24 hour curfew imposed by the state government and vandalised private and public properties .

Current matters gathered that the hoodlums were seen moving around the Calabar metropolis in Keke shortly before news of their wicked activities went viral.

The armed youths reportedly vandalised INEC Office located on Marian Road, Banks,office of the state Transport Regulatory Agency and also homes of Senators Gershom Bassey and Victor Ndoma Egba

The hoodlims also attacked WAEC office, Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Cross Rivers Basin Development Authority, Department of Petroleum Resources and NDDC ,

Other properties affected are Cross Rivers Roll Back Malaria Centre, Federal Psychiatrist Hospital, the state owned Newspaper Corporation including two vehicles belonging to the Vice President of the Nigerian Guild of Editors,Sam Egbala .

Meantime,soldiers have been deployed around strategic areas of the state capital to restore order.

President Buhari had in a nation-wide broadcast on Thursday warned against acts that threaten public peace and breach law and order
