Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi has thrown more light on the benefits which will be derived from the construction of the new Rail project linking some North West states of the country to Niger Republic.
The Minister who spoke exclusively to current matters blog on Thursday in Abuja ,said the project will not only stimulate the economy but will also create much needed jobs.
The extension of the Rail project into the tip of Niger Republic is part of an effort to open a corridor for Nigerian goods which are in high demand in neighbouring African countries to be exported.
He said contrary to speculations that the government was building a rail line into Niger Republic to help that country,what was critical is that government is also contemplating the development of trade relations between both countries and others in the sub- region.
