Unknown gunmen on Friday night attacked a police station in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, killing a policeman.
It was gathered that the gunmen stormed the police station unaware and started shooting sporadically.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the state, Gbenga Fadeyi was quoted as confirming the incident
“We just got information that our police station was attacked but I haven’t got details of the officer allegedly killed.”
According to him, men of the command have been deployed to the area and as soon as more details emerged ,he would brief the press.
