
President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the naming of the Agbor Railway Complex after Former President Goodluck Jonathan.
Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi who made this known in a tweet on Saturday said that the Railway will be known as Goodluck Jonathan’s Railway Station and Complex.
The Minister said the project will priotise movement of goods and will be commissioned virtually due to the Covid-19.
The Agbor Railway Complex is the operational and largest station of the Itakpe-Warri standard guage rail line initiated by the administration of former Military Ruler, General Ibrahim Babangida, in 1987.
The Rail Line has a stretch of 276km linking Warri to Ajaokuta. The rail line was planned as a means of facilitating movement of iron ore to fabricating and processing plants.
