Ike Ekweremadu,serving Senator and former Deputy Senate President has intensified plans to contest the 2023 governorship elections in Enugu.
It was learnt that Ekweremadu would be contesting the election under the All Progressives Congress( APC) and not the Peoples Democratic party ( PDP).on whose platform he is currently representing the people of Enugu West Senatorial District in the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
According to reports, the senator has renewed talks with top members of the APC in the South East.
Ekweremadu is a ranking member of the Senate and one of the longest serving senators in the National Assembly.
