The Federal Government has acquired robots that would profile passengers and process departure formalities at Airports in the country.
The government made this known through NTA twitter handle on Saturday.
The robots it tweeted could be programmed to detect security threats including dangerous goods and arms and also check passengers temperature.
Aviation officials say that if the Robots idea is successful,it will be replicated across major airports in the country,
A test run has already been done at the Mutala Mohammed Airport Lagos.
Meanwhile, simulation of
flight has been carried by Aero Contactors between Abuja and Lagos on Saturday with the Minister of Aviation Hadi Sariki on board
The exercise was done in preparation for commencement of domestic flight operations on Saturday.
