The All Progressives Congress APC is yet to get a permit to hold party primary following Edo State Government’s directive that the State will not allow direct party primaries to hold as a result of spread of Coronavirus.
Edo Governor Godwin Obasekihad said that political parties must apply to the state government for permit before parties would be allowed to hold their primaries in the state.
But the APC has said that it does not need the state government’s permit to choose its flagbearer.
In the meantime, The Inspector General Of Police, Mohammed Adamu has deployed Police from Bayelsa and Delta to ensure law and order during the Parties Primaries
The APC has scheduled to hold party gubernatorial primary on Monday June 22 2020 settling for direct primary while the Peoples Democratic Party PDP and other parties are going for indirect Primaries.
